Importing the demo content
Last updated
Getting what you saw on the product page onto your own site.
Before you start
The theme and Aumframe have to be installed and active, and the plugins this template needs have to be in place — see Installing. A missing plugin leaves a hole in the imported pages, and it will not clearly tell you which one is missing.
Import onto a fresh, empty WordPress if you can. Importing over a site that already has content mixes the two sets of menus, homepage settings and media, and untangling that costs more than starting over.
The steps
🔧 This section is not finished. Where exactly to click, how long the import takes, what to do if it stops halfway — we are writing that up properly with screenshots. We would rather be late than give you an approximation you follow into the wrong place.
If you need to import right now: hit “Talk to a person” in the corner, or write to support@aumcreate.com, and we will walk you through it. That is not a polite brush-off — it is the actual procedure until this page is done.
After the import
The demo content is there to be replaced, not kept. Text, images, products, case studies — all of it becomes yours. Any of it can be deleted outright.
⚠️ Do not delete the page templates themselves. The demo *pages* can go, but the templates the theme ships with (home, archive, single, search, 404) are the skeleton of the thing you bought. Delete those and it is no longer this template.
What to change and in what order: see Making it yours.
