Every old URL, pointed somewhere that exists

A redesign that loses its redirects loses the rankings and backlinks those pages carried, silently, over the following weeks. Paste the old URL list and the new one, and get a redirect map you can drop straight into Apache, nginx, or the Redirection plugin.

• Most URLs are matched without a model — same slug, one directory moved. Those cost nothing, and the price you see is only for the leftovers.
• Before you export, every destination is requested against the live site. You find the dead ones here, not in a traffic drop.
• A URL with no reasonable destination is left blank rather than pointed somewhere plausible. A wrong redirect is worse than none — visitors land on the wrong page and search engines treat the two as one.
• Exports as .htaccess, an nginx block, or a CSV the Redirection plugin imports.
