Interactive demo

A partner map that also decides who gets the enquiry

A partner network page for industrial heating: pick your country, product line, industry and project size, and forty-two partners narrow down to one person — and the moment the budget crosses $100K, a different team takes it.

Everything inside this frame is a demonstration. AumTherm is not a real company, and the models, specifications and prices are invented. What is real is the behaviour — that is the part being shown.

  1. 01

Pick a country. The map zooms and only that country’s partners stay lit.

  2. 02

Pick a product line. Partners without that authorisation drop out, and the card says so.

  3. 03

Pick an industry. Food and pharmaceutical work needs a certificate — experience alone is not enough.

  4. 04

Give the project size. Under $100K it stays local; above it, another team takes over and the local partner stays on for support.

The problem

A heating equipment manufacturer sells abroad through dealers and regional distributors. The website has a find-a-dealer map: click your country, get three names and three phone numbers. And then what? The customer picks one at random. That one may not carry the product line he needs, or may not hold the food-industry certification his plant requires. So the call gets passed around, and two weeks later the enquiry lands back at head office with the customer already gone. Meanwhile the thing the sales director actually wants to control — who is allowed to take which kind of job, and how big a job has to be escalated — lives in an internal policy document that people are supposed to remember.

What we built

The map and the partner list stay exactly as they were; any plugin can draw those. What we added is the rule layer behind them. The customer says where they are, what they need, what industry it is for and roughly how big the project is, and the site walks the company’s own authorisation table: partners who do not qualify are struck out on the spot, with the reason written on the card — “missing food & beverage certification” tells a buyer far more than “no results found”. Whoever is left is the owner of that enquiry. Anything above $100K is escalated to the projects team automatically, with the local partner kept on the case for support, because that rule was already in the sales policy — there was just no way to enforce it.

Try it yourself

  • The demo walks the first three steps itself: Germany, process heaters, food & beverage — three partners become one.
  • Read the reason on each struck-out card. One lacks the product authorisation; the other has the food experience but not the certificate. Those are two different rules.
  • Do the fourth step yourself and pick “$100K +”. Watch the owner change completely and the local partner drop to a support line.
  • Switch back to “$25K – $100K”. It is recalculated, not remembered.

Who this suits

Any business where an enquiry should not simply go to whoever grabs it first: dealer and distributor networks, protected territories, work that requires a certification, head office versus regional splits. If your sales policy lives in a document and depends on one person remembering to enforce it, this is what moving it into the website looks like.
