Where it fits

This page is for a small business site where someone has to answer the same questions every day and nobody is paid to sit in an inbox. The list below is meant to be checked line by line.

• The site is not WordPress, or not only WordPress — the widget is an embed script and does not care what built the page
• The site is WordPress — a connector plugin is published on wordpress.org
• Answers have to come from the site’s own content and product records, not from a general-purpose model
• Someone needs to be able to take over a conversation and type as a person
• More than one website has to be covered from one account
• It has to be possible to start without a purchase order, a card, or a sales call

What the AI answers from

The AI is not asked to know anything about the business. It is given the pages that were crawled from the site and the product records that were imported, and it answers from those.

Site content

Pages crawled from the site, used as the source for general questions.

Product records

Product name, price and link appear in the conversation. Prices and links must appear verbatim in the source material; anything that cannot be matched is not sent.

Hand-off

A question the material does not answer is routed to a person rather than answered approximately.

Catalogue sync

On paid plans the catalogue is refreshed daily from Shopify, WooCommerce, a CSV file or a Google Shopping feed.

Rules, AI and a person in one conversation

A conversation does not have to be either automated or human. Scripted rules answer what is worth scripting, the AI answers from the material, and an operator can take the same conversation over at any point without the visitor starting again.

When a plan’s monthly allowance is used up, the visitor is not shown an error or a quota message. The AI layer is skipped and the conversation goes to the fallback reply configured by the site owner, and then to a person.

Answering

A browser workspace, plus apps for Android and Windows. On Android and in the browser, an alert arrives while the app is in the background.

Languages

The visitor-facing widget is available in 43 languages. The operator back office is available in 6: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and Portuguese. These are two separate numbers and they are not interchangeable: a visitor can be answered in a language the back office itself is not translated into.

Data handling

Data hosting

Conversation records, visitor profiles, product data and knowledge-base content are hosted on AumChat-managed infrastructure.

AI processing

AI-generated responses are processed through an external model API (DeepSeek). Only the visitor’s message, the recent conversation and the retrieved excerpts from your own site are transmitted. Visitor identity — id, email, name, IP, country, user agent, referring page — is not.

Plans

There is a free plan and it does not ask for a card. Paid plans are prepaid for 3 or 12 months and nothing renews automatically. The three plans differ by number of websites, monthly AI replies, catalogue size and team seats — the full table is on the AumChat product page.
